No holiday for us this summer, the thought of packing up bags for the four of us to haul into a car or on to a plane was just too much to think about with a 3 month old and and a two and a half year old! So we are just staying put here in Madison. James is taking some time off at the end of August to recharge the batteries, catch up with stuff at home and hopefully get reaquainted with his golf swing.
We are very lucky to have some great neighbours around us. We spent last Saturday just hanging out at our friends and neighbours George and Susan's house and enjoyed relaxing at their lovely pool. We had a chilled afternoon and evening with entertaining the boys being the primary focus - though a pool and a golf club seemed to do the job for Daniel (even Zoe the dog was kept entertained!!). Thanks George and Susan for a lovely day and also some great food.
Jonathan also enjoyed his first visit to the pool, even if it was limited to observing from mummy's lap!
Summer has gone by in a blur this year - can't believe August is almost over, though our visitors are just starting to arrive, with Kev due next weekend, then Jo's mum and aunt, followed by Fraser and then Inma and Javi in October. Here's hoping for some lovely fall weather......
