Our First Christmas in the USA

We had a lovely Christmas at home in Connecticut, whilst not a white one (the white stuff promptly arrived on Boxing Day!), it was very cold and we managed to embrace almost all of the traditions we have become used to (including the Queen's speech - thank you bbc.co.uk!). We were invited to our friends and neighbours, Erika and Jeff,  for a very tasty Southern brunch on Christmas Morning, which also gave Daniel the chance to let off some steam with the young ones.

Madison town looked very picturesque and really created a lovely Christmas feel, with a neat row of Christmas trees down the centre of the High Street, which each shop decorated in their own style.

Daniel has been adorable in the build up to Christmas, picking up new words and phrases on a daily basis, the most common over the last few days being "Thank You Santa".

We hope that you all had a lovely Christmas and have enjoyed the break from work and spending time with friends and family.

Take care, lots of love

James, Jo and Daniel xxx
