Winter has finally arrived.......

After several weeks of smirking at the British weather and the knock on consequences to travel, the snow finally arrived on the US East Coast at midday on Boxing Day! The predictions were spot on, with 12-18 inches of snow and 50mph winds.

As nice as it looks, there was still the task of clearing the driveway, which for the first and last time James did manually at 7am this morning. The neighbours were probably most amused at the crazy Brit shovelling the drive, whilst everyone else just waited for the snow plough to arrive!

It is now 2pm and the wind is still howling, but the sun is now shining and hopefully we won't see any more fresh snow (at least not until we arrive in Vermont on Wednesday).
