An Anniversary and a New Arrival.....

May 21st marked the one year anniversary of our move to the States; by that date, the newest addition to our family, Jonathan Luis, was almost one month old, having made his appearance bang on time, on April 28th. It's certainly been an eventful twelve months.

Jonathan's smooth entry to the world seemed to set the tone for how things would be when we brought him home, and so far he is adapting very well to his new world and family. We are getting used to being four rather than three at home, and Daniel is doing well at being a big brother. Fortunately, he is so far being very affectionate to his baby brother, and frequenty wants to give him hugs and kisses. We will need to remember these moments when they are arguing and wrestling with each other!

Getting the new baby settled in has been aided by the long awaited arrival of some gorgeous summer weather, as well as James' very generous six weeks of paternity leave, which are about to come to an end. Jo has once again got used to feeling relatively energetic even on four or five hours' sleep -this will hopefully start to increase over the coming months! In the meantime, we are looking forward to a summer at home, getting to know our new baby and enjoying the beach and sunshine.
